Strategic Plan

The strategic plan for BMACC in 2007 is to promote the aims and goals of the organization to build a membership base. Long term strategy is to build a sustainable organization with the resources to effectively be able to fulfill our mission statement mandate.


Some concrete suggestions have been forwarded and will be considered as funding becomes available:

  • A quarterly newsletter, which will focus on news, events and artists of interest in our region
  • Education resource material for school systems in the region. (Working with and supporting initiatives already in place through the Thames Valley Bluegrass Association and IBMA)
  • A program for creative workshops on all instruments and aspects of bluegrass music.
  • Strengthening our communitiy's links with other influential music associations such as the OCFF (Ontario Council of Folk Festivals)
  • Looking for opportunities to increase public awareness through the media, primarily print, radio and television.
